Native Beauty

Our Challenge
This project called for native totara timber, and completely hidden connection details. The renders looked stunning, with the Maori carvings in the glulam. We were excited to create something unique and take on a new challenge. Techlam worked with the iwi organisations that represent the mana whenua of the campus, the architects, and engineers to come up with the best design solutions for the project. Consulting on the correct coatings and connections needed to achieve the clients vision.

The Techlam solution
Techlam were proud to supply these premium totara beams for the Marae. Contributing to education is what we are passionate about, and the native timber was an awesome choice for the project.
Techlam glulam provided a smooth, quality surface for the Maori carvings and with all the connections out of site, it is a seamless result.
