International and local expertise

Our Challenge
This project specified tight delivery times and accurate pre-cutting and slotting of the curved timbers. All components had to be pre-assembled and checked for accuracy before being coated with two coats of stain and packed into containers for shipment.

The Techlam Solution
Techlam supplied all structural laminated components pre-tested for fit and accuracy. Both stages of the project (consisting of the main auditorium and a large colonnade) were packed, shipped and installed on site. Set in a world class location, the finished project looks stunning and fits perfectly with its surroundings.

Products Used
01

Pre-Fabricated Glulam

While the complex pre-fabrication work was done at our facility in New Zealand, the beams were assembled on site by skilled local builders, in conjunction with Arrow International.

02

Curved Beams

These beams create a rustic, tropical appearance that realises the architect’s vision.

Arrow International (NZ) Limited

“Techlam NZ supplied structural laminated beams into the CCCS in Apia, Samoa. This project was a 2 stage project consisting of the main auditorium and a large colonnade.”

“The project called for tight delivery times and accurate pre-cutting and slotting of the curved members. The team at Techlam performed well on this project, delivering the components on time and as specified. I enjoyed working with them and would not hesitate to recommend their company.”
