For this 6 star luxury lodge where no detail is too small to be noticed, our client was looking for a high quality timber to form the exposed truss and rafter work. The stability required to keep the consistency of the bandsawn appearance was paramount.
Techlam glulam products were chosen for the consistency of supply quality, and also became the most cost effective solution. The Techlam team worked with the construction company and other subcontractors to supply a competitive package, with minimal wastage due to our manufacturing efficiencies.
A new 70m long ferry wharf at Hobsonville Point constructed almost entirely of structural laminated timber with extensive detailing.
A project undertaken by Techlam requiring the entire structure to be pre-assembled in the plant and assembled on site.
A large-scale project that required planning and close collaboration with the client’s architect and structural engineer.
Techlam NZ got involved at the tender stage of the project liaising with client Wellington International Airport, head contractor Hawkins Construction and architects Warren and Mahoney.
An impressive, large roof structure supported by Glulam ‘trees’, creating a sunny and spacious atrium for students.
A project that required pre-cutting and slotting of curved timbers in NZ, then shipped and installed in Apia, Samoa.
The recreation facility building’s primary structure is complex curved Glulam portals forming two sides and covering a polycarbonate clad ‘shell’.
Techlam became involved in this project early in 2015, and it was soon realised that the roof design was going to need a lot of changes to enable it to perform in the cyclone prone area.
The resort was in a less than half finished state, Techlam had to identify which parts of the structure had to be replaced, which parts could be kept and reinstated the remainder that had never been manufactured.
Well thank you for the words of encouragement – but we owe it to you and your company. CCCS would not be able to complete that project without your contribution, and I believe your price was very reasonable considering the effort you put in and the initial trouble caused by incorrect drawings. Again, I express thankfulness and gratitude on behalf of CCCS. We pray that the good Lord continue to bless your company. I will keep in touch for future church buildings.
Techlam NZ supplied a portion of the LVL for the College of Creative Arts building Arrow International is about to complete for Massey University in Wellington. We are happy to confirm that Techlam NZ were at all times professional and good to deal with. They supplied the product on time and to the exacting quality that we required. The material that we received was straight, true and accurate. There were no dramas with installing the product supplied as all notches, cuts and rebates were where they were supposed to be.
Brett and his company Techlam NZ have recently supplied laminated beams to our Marae project in Ohinewai. We were grateful for the clear lines of communication from ordering through to delivery and are very happy with the finished product. Techlam was recommended to us by another construction company and indeed lived up to that recommendation.
Techlam NZ supplied the curved Glulam beams complete with shoe and apex connection plates for this project. Their workmanship was of high quality, arrived on time and as specified. Any queries and variations were dealt with efficiently and promptly.
