Our Challenge

EIT’s student amenities have expanded further with the opening of a spacious and sunny new Atrium adjoining the Library building. Each stage of this project provided unique challenges.

The facility consisted of a large roof structure supported by glulam ‘Trees’. This called for hugely challenging detailing to the members with complex epoxy connections attaching the roof structure to the trees.

Our Solution

Techlam worked closely with Gemco and the Structural Engineers to solve the many issue that arose throughout the project. The project was completed to the satisfaction of all involved, and students at the Campus can now study in a relaxed environment all year round.
