Green Star for the Green Team
Our Challenge
We were very excited to be the successful tenderers for the Glulam product in this project. A fully Green Star structure that features some beautiful visual glulam beams throughout. This two storey office has different elements bringing in warmth and cohesiveness to the space. Techlam worked with the project team to ensure the structure would come together smoothly and adhere to the Green Star standards.
The Techlam Solution
Techlam spent a lot of time with Higgins & the project team on this project, discussing the best connections, timber types and treatments to achieve the Green Star rating they needed. We supplied fully prefabricated portals, manufactured from 100% FSC sourced timber with a highly visual finish. Techlam provided a hidden connection detail with the hardware included. These connections involved some complex epoxy rods in each member to ensure a seamless look. The finished project is absolutely stunning, a credit to all involved. The warmth and cohesiveness of the upper storey is a credit to the Glulam timber throughout.
