Our Challenge
Techlam was approached to create a fully prefabricated glulam roof for this creative childcare centre, and we were up for the challenge. Strong teamwork would be a key component to ensure the roof structure would meet the expectations of all stakeholders. Working collaboratively with Collingridge & Smith Architects and Markplan Consulting Engineers, we set out to create a turn-key glulam solution.

The Techlam Solution
CNC cutting the roof beams and prefabricating the entire roof structure at our manufacturing plant (right down to pre-drilling the screw holes), Techlam ensured accuracy and easy assembly on-site. Our attention to detail and technical input, plus close collaboration with the architect and engineer in the early stages made the project a great experience for everyone involved. Tiny Voices childcare centre is truly stunning.
