We are excited to be able to add this project to our portfolio and add it to a long list of Aquatic Centres we’ve manufactured over the last 30 years.
Techlam is working closely with Apollo Projects to ensure this project is executed as efficiently and quickly as possible. Other stakeholders are, Architecture HDT, Boffa Miskell, Powell Fenwick, Hutt City Council & GHD Limited. We look forward to working with them to bring this structure to life.
Sales & Projects Director Roy Hamilton says, “We’re very pleased to have secured this project. These beams once complete, will be the longest in New Zealand at around 35 metres! The longest we have manufactured previously is 32m so it will be a new challenge for the team, but we’re excited to get stuck into the project, and look forward to seeing product delivered to site towards the end of the year.”
Techlam will manufacture the featured glulam rafter beams, columns and associated elements at our manufacturing facility based in Levin. Over 81 Ton of carbon will be sequestered from the glulam product alone! It’s great to see the increase in timber design and construction happening in New Zealand.
